Power Source is seeking individuals with a positive, enthusiastic, knowledgeable approach to grow our team! Depending on when you apply, we may have openings for internships, part-time or full-time positions.
Through our staff development program, and hands-on coaching in a range of settings this role will push you to constantly grow and learn as a coaching professional.
Coaches and interns at Power Source are responsible for assisting with, and potentially running, some or all of the following:
Dynamic warm ups
Group personal training sessions
15 minute Speed & agility sessions
15 minute Personalized conditioning sessions
Team training sessions off-site
Strength & conditioning classes at a local prep school
Adult group fitness sessions
Onboarding client assessments
Some facility maintenance
Some program design
At the start of your time with us you will be taken through our full onboarding system to integrate you into our program as seamlessly as possible, along with continuing education and in-service events to build your skills.
The science of coaching side will emphasize teaching you effective training methods on the following areas:
Strength and power
Speed & agility
Sport-specific conditioning
Injury prevention
We will also mentor you to develop the harder to define but critical art of coaching that ultimately makes a coach successful in developing athletes. These include:
Leadership skills
Motivating with emotion
Effective mentoring
Team building
Developing effective coaching cues
Building rapport with a wide range of personalities
