More Details On Our New Elite Speed School Classes

September 15, 20262 min read

Back to school time is here, and with it comes changes to our youth class times.

Naturally, we shift back to just afternoon sessions on weekdays.

This fall, we're also put a new offering on the schedule - Elite Speed School.

This has prompted quite a few questions from our families!

Below are the answers to what we've been asked so far, but please reply back here with any other questions you may have.

How Is 'Elite' Speed School Different?

The developmental needs of our younger athletes, compared to those in high school or college, are not entirely the same.

Older athletes are better equipped to learn from video analysis, making on the spot corrections to their sprint stride.

They're also physically ready to apply advanced power concepts, like Olympic Lifting and higher level plyometrics.

And older athletes benefit more from injury prevention strategies to protect the ankles, hamstrings and knees.

For those three main reasons, this new speed class will vary from our regular Speed School

Who Is Eligible To Join This Class?

This class makes sense primarily for athletes ages 14 and up.

But just being old enough doesn't make someone 'elite'.

They also have to be serious about improving, capable of working and fully focusing on the task of making progress.

We athletes who help us forge an outstanding training atmosphere, where everyone is dialed in and adding to a champion-like culture, breeding greater success.

Elite, to us, has little to do with how fast you are, it's more about how you approach your development.

Can Older Athletes Still Do Regular Speed School?
Yes, the format in our current Speed School classes will not change. If it helped you before, it'll help you moving forward.

When Is Elite Speed School Offered?
Currently, just on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:30 PM.

Will You Offer More Times In The Future?

We are considering offering an 8 Week Elite Speed School time slot on Saturdays at noon, starting in either October or November.

If you are interested in this time slot, reply back here or text me at 978-678-3145 for more details.

Think of the two class types as similar to undergraduate and graduate level college courses.

Speed School is about mastering fundamental techniques, developing the mental side of speed training, and becoming exceptional at reacting and changing direction.

Elite Speed School builds on these fundamentals, with more advanced tactics, the ones pro and top college athletes have access to.

We want to help every athlete in our program become the best they can be.

This new class offering is another step towards that vision.
